We have looked at symmetry in shapes this week in maths. Can you find any objects in your house with lines of symmetry in them? In my lounge I can see a line of symmetry down a cupboard but not in the objects on top of it.

There is a line of symmetry on the switch in my room.
I can see 2 lines of symmetry down the frame of a painting in my dad’s room but nothing in the actual painting!
I can see four lines of symmetry down the table in the front room and two on both the DVDs on it and two on the magazines!
Mrs Steel, in the year six reading record task about the informal letter it says ‘write your views in the middle’ I’m not too sure what this means?

There is also a line of symmetry across the middle of my bed.
In my room my curtain has 2 lines of symmetry! My picture on the wall also has 2! My bottle has 0! The fake TV my cousin made me is 3d so has 2 lines of symmetry on each face and it has 6 faces!
I also found 2 lines of symmetry on a rectangular biscuit then i noticed it was 3d so there is 8 lines of symmetry as there are 4 faces!
On my pillow there are 2 lines of symmetry!
