My name is Vanessa Botterill and I am the School Business Partner at Park Grove Primary Academy.
I joined Park Grove in November 2023. Prior to this, I worked as an Administrator at a different Ebor school.
I have over ten years experience of working in a primary school setting. Previously, I have worked as a SEND Teaching Assistant, SENDCo Assistant and Office Administrator and Receptionist. Currently, I am also Clerk to the Governors for two Ebor schools. Previous to working in schools, I had a background in Financial Services.
I love working in a school because I am passionate about creating a positive environment for children to flourish and learn in. It is wonderful to see them develop and grow. Inclusion, diversity and SEND are very important to me. I strongly believe that every child has the right to an equal and full school experience.
I have lived in York for a long time and have three gorgeous children and a black Labrador – who is very cheeky!
Outside of school I am usually busy taxiing my family around! In my spare time I like to bake, read, watch movies and socialise.
