Girls’ Football – Start of the season!

Mini-beast sewing

Today we began creating our mini-beasts! We first added our embellishments such as buttons and coloured circles, then we began sewing around the edges and adding the stuffing. Hatched Butterflies

We were all very excited this morning to see that all 4 of our butterflies had hatched out of their cocoons. We have given them some fruit and special nectar to drink. We have made it from mixing water and sugar. Tomorrow during forest schools we are going to set them all free!

Data handling: collecting data

We are working on our data handling skills this week in maths. Today we collected data by tallying the colour of cars that passed us on Lowther Street. We were very excited completing our tables!

Watching the traffic go by…

On Monday in maths we went outside to gather data to create our own bar chart. We watched the cars go past the school and recorded the different colours in a tally chart. The most popular colour of  car which went past was black.
