Repeating Patterns

This week in maths we are learning about repeating patterns, we used the chain links to create    the repeating patterns with two colours. Everyone had a really good try at connecting the tricky chains.

We were very lucky today in Class 1 as we all received a special gift from the PTA. We were very excited to see our surprise and all said a big thank you for the new books. Miss Sawyer read us the story ‘Tiddler’ and we all listened brilliantly.

Our latest art project

We’ve started work on a new art project with Miss Slater this week.  We’ve been finding out about the work of Dale Chihuly (a glass blower) and have been decorating filter paper with felt tips.  The filters will later be sprayed with starch to create ‘macchia’ bowls in Chihuly’s style.
