Behind the scenes at John Lewis!⭐️

As part of our Children’s University project with John Lewis, we have explored different business models and job roles related to companies creating and establishing a business plan. To start with, we learnt about some different models, such as John Lewis being a Partnership, and important roles within a business, like the Chief Financial Officer who would be in charge of calculating the company’s financial assets. In groups, we then created our own business plans for different products, calculating cost and profits collaboratively.

Following this, today we were able to use this knowledge on a real life visit to the John Lewis store in York. We met partners with many different roles, and got to learn a bit more about how the business runs and how effective working as a partnership can be. We also learnt about the marketing side, and even dressed our own mannequins!
