We were lucky enough to play Countdown this afternoon. The children had to use the numbers 50, 8, 1, 9, 5 and 4 to reach the target number of 780. As a class we found four different ways to reach the target. Well done to Mani, Stan, Leah, Ivy and Eddy, who each found at least one correct way to earn a place in Class 8’s Countdown hall of fame!

I love playing countdown because it helps me with my maths and different strategies to help me find my answer to a question.
I actually found it quite hard. Sometimes Mr Mastrelli is quite generous and gives us some easy numbers and an easy target but other times he gives us some more tricky numbers to work with. It is really fun though! :3
I really found it very hard but when I found out the answer, it was easy.
I really enjoy playing countdown as I love maths, I also like doing conundrums. It’s a lot more fun now we have special buzzers we have to press, it makes it more exiting! 🙂
