EYFS/KS1 Celebrations!

What a busy half term it has been for our Early Years and KS1 children! Our topic focus has been ‘Our School’/’Streetwise’ and the children have enjoyed the events and celebrations that have taken place over the past few weeks. We had an exciting local area walk around the Groves, a street party inviting parents to come and look at all our hard work so far, as well as a Harvest Festival event at St Thomas’ church.

Local Area Walk

It was a very wet and soggy walk around the Groves but that did not dampen our spirits! Not only did we see some familiar places such as the park, shops and St Thomas’ church, the children enjoyed jumping in the puddles along the way!

Street Party!

We had a great day preparing for our parents visit by decorating the classroom with bunting and balloons, completing a quiz all about the Groves then playing some games in the playground.

Harvest Festival

The children had a fantastic time at St Thomas’ church for the Harvest Festival celebration. They sang brilliantly and we are so proud of them all.
