EYFS/KS1 Topic Igntion!

Orange Unit, Blue and Green Class have launched their ‘Food, Glorious Food’ topic in style by making some yummy, tasty treats!

Orange Unit made fruity milkshakes linking to the story, ‘Oliver’s Milkshake’ by Vivian French. The children were brilliant at cutting the fruits, pouring in the milk and they were so excited to see it all mix and blend together in the blender! There were some thumbs up and some not too sure about the taste but they all gave it a really good try. Excellent work, Orange Unit!

Blue and Green Class made fancy fruit kebabs after reading and exploring their core text, ‘Oliver’s Fruit Salad’ by Vivian French. They tried all the fruits mentioned in the story and even had some blackcurrant juice. The children were very sensible when making their kebabs and lots of them added fruit they had never even tried before. There were lots of smiley faces and full tummies at the end!
