Football Report – Park Grove 0 Knavesmire 2

Park Grove School Football Team report v Knavesmire (H) at Park Grove School on Wednesday 2^nd October 2013

Park Grove’s opening football league game took place this Wednesday at home against Knavesmire Primary School. In front of an excitable crowd and in gloomy conditions, the match got off to a slow start. Gradually Knavesmire started to dominate and only the excellent defensive cover of Aidan Carey and Franco Dyson as well as various saves from Morgan Zareeba-Wynne kept the scores level at half time.

The second half was a closer affair with Park Grove showing a much greater threat in attack. Unfortunately two counter attack goals at the start and the end of the half made the final score 2 nil to Knavesmire.

Star players were Morgan Zareeba Wynne who made several stunning saves throughout the game. Franco Dyson led by example and along with Aidan Carey was the defensive rock that frustrated Knavesmire for most of the game.

Overall a promising start guys. The results will come I’m sure!
