A good time was had….

I went in to school on Tuesday 22 October to Miss Plew’s class. It was the children’s enrichment day and they were learning how to do interviews. It was a good exercise and one which I enjoyed as much as the children if not more. I’m a bit concerned that I may have given away more about myself than I intended although my liking for meat pies is not that much of a secret. I’m looking forward to future events when I can get to know the class a bit more. The highlight for me came the next day when I was in school for something else and suddenly heard my name shouted by one of the children. I won’t name him but it was great to know that he had remembered my name and felt sufficiently confident to greet me. My thanks to Miss Plews for inviting me into the class and I look forward to the next time.
Tuesday and Wednesday were both parents’ evenings and I was on hand both nights with others to supply tea, coffee and biscuits to parents although most of the biscuits went to the pupils. We had a bit of competition from the PTA who were selling buns and cakes so we had to get the chocolate digestives out which we had been keeping in reserve. It was good to meet so many parents and |I hope you will all take the time to look again (or maybe for the first time) at the OFSTED Parent View which you can access via the school website. Your views are important.

Have a good break .
