Printable c7 Homework 11

Project – LAST WEEK

Our next project is based in one word, Shakespeare. This is a particularly flexible homework that you can present in any way you like. In the past, children have presented homework by:

writing a report, making a poster, making cards, making games, baking cakes, making a video, making a model, painting or drawing, doing a mime, standing and talking, and in many other ways. If you need ideas or help, for instance, accessing the internet, then let me know.

We will look at these on the 22nd November. You can bring them in before if you like.

Reading

Keep up the reading – particularly careful reading out loud to someone else. Remember to write in your book once a week and bring it into school every day.

MyMaths

We still have school access to MyMaths. I have not yet set any specific homework but you can go to http://www.mymaths.co.uk/ and login as parkgrove with the password of *****(ask me). You can do any of the topics for fun.

Spelling

Only 3 people brought in words with silent letters. Can we do better next week? Please bring in words with silent letters e.g. lamb, write.

Times Tables x????

This week we are catching up. Some of you have missed weeks perhaps if you were off ill.

Next week you can try 3 times tables to fill in the gaps. Make sure you practise!

Next Week:

  • In English we will be looking at the use of rhythm, stage directions, adding to existing scenes from Romeo and Juliet and beginning to write our own scenes to animate in ICT.
  • In maths, we will look at measuring and drawing angles as well as written methods for division.
  • In science we will look in more detail at the blood circulation system and the main organs of the body.
  • In ICT we will begin looking at programming in Scratch.
  • Our topic work will centre on Elizabethan explorers such as Sir Walter Raleigh.
