Homework 9th September

Week beginning Monday 9th September

English

In English we will continue to write captions and type these using laptops. These will then be put on display to show our class rules and what we do within the classroom. We will also look at different lists and understand why we sometimes need to make a list. Finally, we will have a go at writing a list of words which describe ourselves. Can you write a shopping list? What words could you use to describe yourself?

Maths

In maths we will be looking at telling the time up to quarter to and past and learning what different units of time mean (seconds, minutes, hours, days, weeks etc). We will be looking at what each digit in a number means and using this to compare and order numbers. Can you explain how many units, tens and hundreds there are in different numbers>? Can you order numbers and explain how you did it?

Topic

In PHSE we will be talking about groups that you belong to, for example, Rainbows, Beavers, dance, gym etc.  We will be thinking about why people belong to groups and what they do and wear that shows they are part of this group. If you belong to a group may be you could bring in something to show the class. E.g. part of your uniform, certificate (please remember to put your name on).

Also please remember your baby photo for next week.

Remember to bring PE kits to school and remove earrings on PE days please.
