Spellings this week will, again, focus on the ‘aw’ sounds in words but this time with the letter ‘a’ instead of ‘o’ such as ‘au’ for haunted, ‘al’ for walk and ‘augh’ for ‘taught’. We’ve done lots of work on contractions this week so it would be fantastic if they could try to use these in their spelling sentences. (For example – I can’t walk to school because it is raining)
