Homework w/b 3rd March
English
We will be looking at the vocabulary used in traditional tales this week and reviewing a range of stories. If you have any traditional tales or alternative versions at home please bring them in to share and add to our display (named please).
Maths
In Maths this week we will begin by looking back at telling the time and introducing some time problems for the children to find the answers to. For example, if Miss Plews was to get on the train at 1 o’clock and her journey lasted 2 hours, what time would she arrive? Can you get an adult to help you think of your own time problems and solve them? We will also be thinking about finding fractions of 2D shapes and numbers. Use objects from around the home to find halves and quarters.
Topic
This week in topic we will be tasting different fruits and designing our own fruit salad. Please let us know if your child is allergic to any fruits, thank you.
Next Week
Please remember that it’ll be world book day on Thursday 6th March.
Other Notes
Please ensure that all children have a full PE kit. A named white t-shirt, shorts and plimsolls.
Thank you,
Miss Plews.
