In English we are continuing to talk about toys but beginning to think about Christmas. We’ll be reading a story about a Christmas bear. Do you have any ‘Christmassy’ stories at home? You can bring them in to share (named please) and we can read them over the next couple of weeks. We will be sending home a new phonic and handwriting book. Each Monday you will get a new challenge which will improve our phonics and handwriting!
In maths we are practising matching numerals to a number of objects. You could do this at home. You can also watch out for numerals around you. (In your shoes, on your front door, on football shirts etc) Which is the biggest/smallest you can find?
Our role play area is changing! We will be wrapping presents ready for Christmas and talking about 3D shapes as we do this.
And for topic…!
Thanks for the wonderful adult homework. It’s in a file outside the classroom for everyone to share. Our topic work is continuing and blending into a Christmas theme. Our role play area will become an elves workshop. Do you have any boxes (all shapes) or some spare wrapping paper please? Any contributions welcome.
Many thanks
Class 1 team
