Library Ignition

What better place to ‘ignite’ our new topic ‘Happily Ever After’ than with a visit to our local library. All our EYFS and KS1 classes visited York Library during the first few weeks of our fairy tale themed topic. The children were given a tour of the children’s section of the library, specifically the locations of age appropriate fiction and information books. They were then shown how to use the technology in the library to check out books. Finally we enjoyed a story-time session led by the very animated Andrea! We hope the session inspired the children to go and join the library.
