MEETING MINUTES 5^th FEBRUARY 2014

Ordering of playground equipment

Mr Mastrelli took a few School Council members out of the boardroom to order a range of playground equipment. The School Council discovered that they had an extra £150.00 from the governors to add to their total from the Christmas Fair. Ben will write a thank you letter to them.

Appointing a new governor

Miss Tilbury gave a short speech to the School Council to tell them what governors do. She said, “Governors have a range of committees including a pay committee. We stop bullying and help run the School along with Miss Sawyer. We have a policy group and do Head teacher performances.” Miss Sawyer asked the School Council members what they think a governor needs to be. The School Council came up with: Someone who is kind and caring, someone who is good at fundraising, a fun person and someone who is willing to be on the School Council. Miss Sawyer said that the School Council will write an article for a new governor in the newspaper to try and get people’s attention. It was said that one of the School Council members will write a description of the School on the website to attract more people.
