Table Tennis Ladder League Final – The Greatest Park Grove Match!
Christmas came early at Park Grove School as the whole of Key Stage 2 were treated to a thrilling Table Tennis Ladder League final between Lucy Noble and Jake Coulby-Ackroyd on Friday afternoon. Dubbed “the greatest Park Grove final” by all who saw it, Lucy won in three dramatic sets 11-7, 8-11, 14-12 to earn her first Table Tennis title!
There were so many twists and turns and the crowd were absolutely enthralled with the gripping nature of this final, particularly the magnificent comeback from Jake, who was a set and 6-2 down in the second set, to come within one point of winning the match!
Please see the best bits of the final in another post on the Sports Blog page. I would also like to say a particularity big thanks to my Table Tennis Committee who presented the final. They were absolutely fantastic!
Remember the next Table Tennis tournament starts after Christmas. Places are going fast so please sign up very soon if you don’t want to be disappointed. The sign up sheet is outside my classroom!
