World Book Day!
Posted On 03 Mar 2017
To celebrate world book day this year, in class 9 we read a classic favourite: The BFG! This inspired some maths work, where we had to create a whole giant from only one large, giant hand… It was challenging and we had to ensure we worked collaboratively as a group but the finished giants were fantastic!
As well as sharing what we had brought to represent a character/book, we also had fun sharing our knowledge of books by completing the World Book Day quiz and then using our artistic skills to sketch one of our favourite characters from a book. All in all, a very happy World Book Day!
Class 9 – what did you bring in for World Book Day? How did you find creating your own giant? What other parts of today did you enjoy?
I really enjoyed today and my favourite part was when we got to make the giants! I drew the face of Willow (the bunny giant). I brought in the tortoise from esiotrot.
I liked drawing Mildred Hubble?
Oh no my drawing of Harry Potter is in that picture it looks so sad with sedrick digery in the background on the floor
I really enjoyed doing the test especially naming the teams and working together to put together answers.
