Spellings will be going out tomorrow with a focus on the ‘or’ phoneme (sound – the same as last week) but with different graphemes (written representation!). I look forward to seeing the children’s outfits tomorrow for World Book Day.

Homework 

This week’s spellings will look at the ‘aw’ sound. These will include variations such as ‘au’ as in haunt, ‘al’ as in stalk and ‘a’ on its own as in ball. You could encourage your children to practise writing these with ‘sound buttons’ underneath and reading them using their ‘robot arms’!
