Circumference of a circle…

On Tuesday morning we used the formula: pie x diameter to calculate the circumference of different circles. I was really impressed with how some children became teachers to help other children who were initially struggling with this concept!

Singing picnic

Science experiment

Today the children discussed what a plant needs to grow. They watched a video which explained how a seed starts its roots and spouts through the soil. Then they set up an experiment to see which conditions a plant grows best in. They planted seeds in a cupboard, some on a window...

Sing up Class 7!

We had a wonderful, energetic singing assembly this week.  We’ve finished learning the song ‘Reach’ and loved joining in with the rest of the school on all of the actions!

Writing play scripts 

On Tuesdsay we began planning a play script. We have been looking at the Greek myth called Pandora’s box. We are now converting this into a play script and adding lots of stage directions!

Library time

We visit the library each week to take out new books to read both at home and at school! Reading gives us the opportunity to learn new vocabulary and the children always enjoy a story at the end of the school day!
