In phonics this week, we have been learning about different ways of spelling the ‘ee’ phoneme. One of the ways we have learnt is using the e-e split digraph. We worked together by holding hands to show how the two e’s make one sound and the final sound in the word comes in between them!...

Next week is our ‘Health and Wellbeing’ week which is going to include some exciting sports sessions on Monday, some interesting cooking of healthy foods and lots of extra exercise! We will be looking at the book ‘On the Way Home’ by Jill Murphey in Literacy and thinking about 2D shapes in maths.

This week in PE we all joined in with some really exciting parachute games. It was lots of fun and everyone was great at listening and participating as part of a team.

Next week

Next week in maths the children will be working on addition and subtraction. In English they will be doing work based around a story called ‘The Tunnel’. Next week is ‘Health and Well-being’ week so 20 minutes of learning a day will be orientated around this subject. Show and tell next Friday is Group 3.

This week on Tuesday we had a great time building dens in forest schools. We were thinking carefully about the changing seasons and how some animals hibernate through the winter. We built some amazing shelters to keep us warm in the colder weather.
