Park Grove Vs Ralph Butterfield Cricket Fixture…

On Thursday 19^th June, Park Grove School played a home cricket match against Ralph Butterfield in a league fixture. PG started batting, with Moya and Jacob kicking off the game. A good start from PG gave them 11 runs from the opening pair. Next came Huw and Isabella, who hit two 4’s and one 6, scoring altogether 18 runs. After came Tomas and George who communicated well and hit 15 runs putting PG at a great score. Lastly came Morgan and Thomas who hit one 4 and scored 11 runs together. After a rewarding time at the crease, PG then went onto fielding.

Huw started the bowling with great precision allowing RB to score only 10 runs. Next came Moya, who took 1 wicket and RB scored 9 runs, Jacob took a wicket and only conceded 2 runs! Isabella came next, 2 wickets, 10 runs. George conceded 14 runs and Morgan 11. Huw made some fantastic catches too.

All of PG gave 110% to this match and should be very proud of themselves.

The end score was PG 155, and RB 180.

Great communication and encouragement from PG made it almost impossible to pick a player of the match, but in the end PG chose Huw because he batted well, bowled fantastically and stopped some great balls.

We are working on a new fixture and hope to improve our technique.
