This week in English, we delved into our new unit of stories from other cultures, starting with the tale of Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves. In groups, we explored the story and identified the features that told us it was set at a different time and in a different culture.

My group worked well together and we produced a informational mindmap
I am working on planning the Ali Baba retelling. We are all retelling the Ali Baba story from the servant girl, Morgiana’s, point of view.
I think Ali Baba is good and bad as he is good for treating everyone with kindness and respect. But he is bad as he is a robber. Altogether he is more good than bad though.
this was a very fun lesson and i had nether heard the story of the story of Ali Baba and the forty thieves.
i found this task so fun and i was happy i got to work in a group as everyone is our group had great ideas 😀
